Juliet Schor discusses her recently published paper “What Do Platforms Do? Understanding the Gig Economy” written with Steven Vallas. In particular, she discusses the importance of considering the platform economy as part of the larger economy, the heterogeneity of its workers and the possible trends in the field of regulation.
